BC Mining Industrialists: Culture of Entitlement:
January 25, 2008: Premier Gordon Campbell "Event" on "Mining Climate Action Meeting" with the Mining industry of British Columbia. Topics raised by the Premier, HIS "concerns", HIS "collaboration on issues", HIS "Strong Environmentally Sensible Responses".
And then Christy, Rich, and Bill and Mary, and those who support the idea of a Trillion Dollars in revenue, debt free in fifty, now forty-nine years to go, and oh, the Prosperity Fund too.
In 2008 Premier Gordon Campbell pleaded with the mining industry to "... look at the opportunities before you, that you know about ..." (eg. ....Imperial Metals Corporation less than stable tailing pond dam which has ended up in Polley Lake and beyond to Quesnel Lake and Metro Vancouver) and then went on to implore the mining industrialists to hold HIS hand, HIS government hands:
"because if we don't know those we won't be able to respond .. in .. in .. Ah .. collaboration with you.."
the Honourable Gordon Campbell:
Right now the government of the BC Liberals are on the same page as Imperial Metals, in the minds of the public when it comes to the smell of collaboration.

If someone has a sense of entitlement, that means the person believes he deserves certain privileges — and he's arrogant about it.Premier Campbell Video bytes BC Liberals back:

the Honourable Gordon Campbell:
0:10 ..... if you can get the context that we are trying to act within, Ah ... you can think about the opportunities as we have, to move ahead, and you can be part of this partnership as we go ahead because, I do think it's important for US to understand the Ah ....., for YOU to understand this. In our Government, we believe that mining is a critically important industry to the long term future of the Province of British Columbia, Ah ..... and people who live here.Would Campbell's pearls of wisdom on "Strong Environmentally sensible Responses" include improperly maintaining a tailing pond, or, was the phrase intentionally included to be a co-written RESPONSE to a catastrophic event, afterwards?
0:31 it's not just thousand of jobs, Not hundred of millions of dollars of Revenue into Government coffers, that's all true, but frankly it takes a lot of jobs and a lot of parts of the province that is very important to us, and helps us build an economic foundation that allows us to create a better quality of life for people all over the province. Having said that ......
0:50 ...... Having said that, Ah, I can tell you that, I at least, and the government .... Ah..., we believe that we have to deal with the challenge of climate change before us. We haven't even beginned to see the cost of not dealing with this, and the earlier we deal with it, and the smarter we deal with it, the better off we'll be. 1:04
1:25 ...look at the opportunities before you, that you know about, ... and I think what the important thing for us, at least for me, is that you feel comfortable in talking with us about where we're going and what we're doing and what your concerns are, (1:30) because if we don't know those we won't be able to respond in in Ah collaboration with you and try dealing with an issue. We do not want to lose the potential we have in the mining industry we do want to do strong economical development as well as a strong Environmentally sensible, Ah, responses....
1:43 Strong Environmentally sensible Responses
